Keith Parkinson has always been one of the artists that inspired me when i was growing up , and still does to this day. I am a Dungeons and Dragons Fan. A game that uses pure imagination and fantasy elements , who can resist that.
I painted this right after he died on Oct/26/2005. In a way of coming to terms with one of my muses dieing. His Art will live on forever. The back ground was inspired by his painting Lord Soths Charge.
Also of note: are the five lizards around the horses feet can ,you find them?

This is a really cool painting...I am currently doing a recreation of Keith Parkinson's "Lord Soth's charge" with prismacolour pencils and really like how well you have completed the mountains and foreground in this painting!

Found them! :iconvictorydanceplz:
This looks great! I love the feel of the painting and the presence of possible enemies in the distance.
Is Lord Soth's Charge about Lord Soth from the DragonLance series?

Wow, you capture the total feel of 1980s AD&D, Amazing!

This kicks ass, plain and simple. It belongs on the cover of a book that Gygax should have written.

Excellent.

I dont know but I think the old school DnD paintings are better than the preppy 3rd edition stuff

The lighting is so gorgeous, very nice work.

A lot of illustration paintings these days don't have any context, or are very claustrophobic with their context. It's very refreshing to see such a grand sweep of sky and land. Beautiful, thanks for sharing it with us.

Very nice work! I found 4 lizards for sure and I think I found the 5th but not sure because it looks like his feet are behind a rock and this not visible so not able to find visual confirmation that it is a lizard :)
